STEVEN KUNREUTHER CARRIER STRIP FOR PERFORATED LABEL SHEET The sheet material includes a section designed to form a plurality of labels as it is separated along orthogonal perforation lines. That section is situated between carrier strips each of which includes a series of aligned spaced sprocket holes. In order to prevent the tearing of the carrier strips as they are removed from the label section by automated equipment, the position of the sprocket holes relative to the perforation line which defines the boundary between the carrier strip and the label section is increased such that the distance between the line and the closest portion of the sprocket holes is at least 2 and preferably 2 1/2 times the diameter of the sprocket holes.
