<p>PURPOSE:To extend the time of contact among a string-like contact filtering medium, air bubbles and a liq. and to improve an oxygen utilization ratio by positioning discontinuously organism carrying part of the string-like contact filtering medium in the organism contact filtering medium consisting of a lot of string-like contact filtering medium in a water treating apparatus. CONSTITUTION:An organism contact filtering medium of a water treating apparatus is filled in an aeration tank 1 and is constituted of a lot of string-like contact filtering medium 3 fixed vertically on a supporting frame 2. In addition, on the bottom of the aeration tank 1, namely, below the organism contact filtering medium, an air diffuser 4 is provided. In this case, in the string-like contact filtering medium 3, this organism carrying part 6 is discontinuously positioned along the length of the axis. Namely, the organism carrying part 6 is positioned in such a way that it is irregularly positioned to the neighboring one, namely the height does not coincide with the neighboring one. In addition, air bubbles and liq. 7 elevating in the aeration 1 are made meandered among the organism carrying parts 3. It is possible thereby to extend the time of contact among air bubbles and a liq. and the organism carrying part 3 and to improve an oxygen utilization ratio.</p> |
