PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique which display documents of respective categories with the number of documents within a proper range and makes it easy to grasp the contents of the documents. SOLUTION: This document display method which displays documents managed with the hierarchical categories has a step for instructing a display of a list of documents belonging to a category that a user specifies when the number of the documents in the specified category is larger than a specific document number and a step for displaying the list of the documents belonging to the category.
