PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transmission body and an optical transmission array showing little shrinkage or changes in the conjugate length of the optical transmission body and little decrease in the resolution even when the body is used in a high temperature environment. SOLUTION: The plastic optical transmission body has a cylindrical form and its refractive index continuously decreases from the center to the peripheral part. When the body is heat treated at 80 deg.C for 72 hours under no tension, the heat shrinkage rate of the body is <=0.5%.
