To facilitate, with a skylight having pivotably mounted wing (3), installation in the roof and to obtain good protection for the lining box (1) made of wood, a covering frame (8) is mounted on the lining box (1) at the factory, said covering frame being made in one piece and also comprising the protective rail (12) which overlaps the frame (13) of the wing (3) and thus covers the gap between wing (3) and lining box (1). The one-piece covering frame (8) consists, in particular, of a deep-drawn moulding made of a weather-resistant plastic. By virtue of the one-piece construction of the covering frame (8) including the protective rail (12), mounting on the lining box (1) is facilitated and gaps in the region of the covering frame prevented, so that the lining box (1) is securely protected against water. <IMAGE>
