<p>PURPOSE:To attain the quick access processing by detecting the carrying position of the data cartridge of an access actuator with the combination of plural signals delivered from sensors set in a 3-dimensional form. CONSTITUTION:An access actuator 11 moves in a direction Y (up-down direction), a direction X (right-left direction) and a direction theta (revolving direction) to extract a data cartridge (c) stored in a cartridge file 12 and carries the cartridge to mount it on a prescribed deck (a) or (b). In this case, the cartridge (c) is carried under the control of a controller 7. The sensors 1, 5 and 3 for directions Y, X and theta contain at least >=3 sensor elements respectively. The signals sent from these sensors 1-3 are applied to detection signal arithmetic circuits 2, 6 and 4 respectively. Then the arithmetic results of circuits 2-4 are sent to the controller 7 in the form of position informations Y, X and theta. In such a way, the detecting position of the cartridge (c) can be detected quickly and accurately.</p> |
