SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SECURELY PROCESSING PAYMENT TRANSACTIONS

A device includes memory and a processor. The memory is configured to store a transaction identifier corresponding to merchant identification information, customer identification information, and transaction information for a transaction. The processor is communicatively coupled to the memory. The processor is configured to receive, from a merchant computing device, a transaction request that includes the customer identification information and the transaction information. The transaction request does not include payment information. The processor is also configured to generate the transaction identifier. The transaction identifier is unique to the merchant identification information, the customer identification information, and the transaction information. The processor is further configured to transmit to a customer computing device an authorization request comprising the transaction identifier and merchant identification information. The processor is also configured to receive, from the customer computing device, a transaction authorization that includes the payment information and to process the transaction using the payment information.

a merchant computing device configured to:
receive customer identification information that identifies a customer, wherein the customer identification information does not comprise payment information;receive transaction information comprising an amount of a transaction, wherein the transaction information does not comprise the payment information; andtransmit to a server a transaction request that comprises the customer identification information and the transaction information; the server configured to:
receive the transaction request from the merchant computing device;generate a transaction identifier associated with the customer identification information and the transaction information; andtransmit to a customer computing device an authorization request comprising the transaction identifier and merchant identification information; and the customer computing device configured to:
receive from the server the authorization request;receive from a user interface the payment information; andtransmit, to the server, a transaction authorization and the payment information, wherein the server is further configured to process the transaction using the payment information received from the customer computing device.
