A cover for a portable electronic apparatus comprising: a first planar member (10a) having a predetermined rigidity; a second planar member (10b); a lid member (30) capable of covering at least a part of the first planar member (to cover 10a and a portable electronic apparatus inside); a protrusion (25) protruding on the outside of the first planar member; a protrusion (26) in the lid member (30) substantially parallel to the first surface when covering the first planar member (10a); wherein the second planar member 10b does not protrude on the outside of either first planar member or lid member. When the cover storing the electronic apparatus is dropped, protrusion 25 is hit first. Protrusion region 26 protruding from lid member 30 to the outside in the closed state also serves to protect opening portion of body 10 and increase impact resistance. Protrusion region 26 maybe formed from a four-layered laminated structure to increase impact resistance.
