摘要 A wind turbine blade including an elongate reinforcing structure 20 or structural spar, the reinforcing structure comprising a plurality of strips 22 of fibre-reinforced polymer (FRP) arranged into a stack structure 23, and at least one adjacent pair of the plurality of strips including an infusion promoting layer 30, wherein the infusion promoting layer is a fabric comprising a plurality of twisted yarns. The infusion promoting layer may have a fabric areal weight of 100 300 gsm; it may be a glass fibre fabric, and it may have a plain weave, twill weave or satin weave pattern. The infusion promoting layer may overlap the adjacent strips within a stack structure. The FRP strips may be glass-, aramid- or carbon-fibre-based. Also provided is a method of assembling a wind turbine blade. The method may comprise the use of a blade mould. The material of the infusion promoting layer may be selected so as to influence the speed of resin infusion through the stack.
