PURPOSE: A clothes treatment device and a control method thereof are provided to remove the creasing, humidity or odor by supplying the hot air or steam to the clothes. CONSTITUTION: A control method of a clothes treatment device comprises followings. The water is supplied to a steam generator inside to supply the steam to the contained clothes(S10). In the water supply process, the malfunction of the water supply process is detected using the water level changing within the steam generator(S24). If the water level of the steam generator is a first pre-set level, the steam generator operates to generate the steam(S44).
