PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the cost increase of a single wall corrugated cardboard to ensure the corrugation height, and to avoid an emptied medium irrespective of slight operational changes. SOLUTION: The process of forming a corrugating medium using a single facer comprises corrugating a corrugating medium 3 by passing the corrugating medium 3 between a pair of corrugating rolls 1 and 2 whose mesh areas are waved, glueing the ridges of the corrugated corrugating medium 3, and passing the corrugating medium 3 and a liner 05 between the corrugating roll 1 and a pressure device 07 to obtain a single wall corrugated cardboard 06. In the mesh region r of the pair of the corrugating rolls 1 and 2, the mesh areas of the corrugating rolls 1 and 2 are formed in a way that the clearances between the corrugating tips 21 and 31 and troughs 22 and 32 are greater than the clearances between flat sloping surfaces 23 and 33 so that mainly the flat sloping surfaces apply pressure to the corrugating medium 3, when the corrugating medium 3 passes through the region r where it is bitten.
