<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a proces monitoring device which can easily create maintenance information. <P>SOLUTION: A process monitoring device 1 which monitors maintenance of a printer 2 or the like, comprises: memory reading software 16 which reads maintenance information of the printer 2 or the like from the outside; hardware maintenance information reading software 15 which stores the maintenance information read by the memory reading software 16 in a hardware maintenance information database 13: and display software 12 which extracts the maintenance information from the hardware maintenance information database 13 and displays the maintenance information on a monitoring screen 11.
