PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aluminum silicate in which absorbed water content is low.SOLUTION: An aluminum silicate of the present invention has a Si and Al atomic ratio, Si/Al in a molar ratio, of 0.3-1.0, gives a peak at near 3 ppm in theAl-NMR spectrum, gives peaks at near -78 ppm and near -85 ppm in theSi-NMR spectrum, gives peaks at near 2&thetas;=26.9° and near 40.3° in the powder X-ray diffraction spectrum using CuKα rays as an X-ray source, gives a peak area ratio of the peak A at near -78 ppm and peak B near -85 ppm (peak B/peak A) in theSi-NMR spectrum ranging 2.0-9.0, and has a carbonyl group. |
