PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To equalize amounts of liquid discharged from all discharge ports on a liquid discharge substrate and to prevent non-uniform density of printed matter and unstable color reproducibility thereof in an ink jet recording head.SOLUTION: A liquid discharge substrate 2 having at least two or more lines of common ink chambers 17 and configured to discharge ink from discharge ports 18 on both sides thereof, is fixed to a channel member 1 having a plurality of separate ink supply channels 15 for supplying ink to an ink supply port 16 communicating with the common ink chambers 17. A common ink supply channels 14 has a wall face wb extending from each individual ink supply channel 15, by an amount corresponding to the width of at least the liquid discharge substrate 2 at the individual ink supply channel 15 side, on both sides in the direction in which the individual ink supply channels 15 are arranged next to one another. |
