LUNG CANCER DIFFERENTIAL MARKER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a lung cancer differential marker with which lung cancer can be diagnosed conveniently and highly sensitively without depending only on increase or decrease in protein expression level between cancer patients and healthy persons, and provide a development method of a sugar chain marker capable of distinguishing histological types of lung cancer.SOLUTION: A method includes the steps of: identifying, of serum glycoproteins, glycopeptide and glycoprotein groups that comprises the glycoprotein and the like selected from a group consisting of Secretogranin III in which sugar chains are attached to asparagine residues of the glycosylation positions, fibronectin I, insulin-like growth factor binding protein-L1 (IGFBP-L1) and neural cell adhesion molecule(NCAM1), and whose sugar chain structures were altered specifically in lung cancer cell culture supernatants; and detecting them as lung cancer differential markers.
