<p>PURPOSE:To make it possible to adjust a load freely, beginning with a low load, and to make the fluctuation of an output voltage of a generator very small at the time when switching is made from a manual operation over to automatic operation. CONSTITUTION:An output voltage of a water-wheel generator 1 is impressed on an anode of a thyristor element 3 through a transformer 5 for excitation. The thyristor element 3 is subjected to a continuity control by a gate signal from a gate circuit 10. Thereby an exciting current to a field winding 2 is controlled. The gate circuit 10 is supplied with an output voltage of an automatic voltage regulator 8 and an output voltage of a manual setting unit 12. The output voltage of the manual setting unit is used on the occasion of a load test, and when the test is ended, switching is made onto the automatic side by a switching element 11. At the time of switching, an automatic following control element 13 operates so that the output voltage of the generator does not fluctuate.</p> |
