PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a POS system that can alleviate an operation of a customer in settlement processing, and allows a support to the customer forgetting to purchase to be smoothly carried out.SOLUTION: A POS system includes: a registration device that registers a product of a purchase object of a customer; and a plurality of settlement devices that performs a settlement based on registration data on the product. The registration device comprises: acquisition means for acquiring status information about settlement processing from each of the plurality of settlement devices; selection means for selecting the settlement device to perform the settlement about the registered product on the basis of the status information; and transmission means for transmitting the registration data on the registered product so that a settlement of the customer can be carried out by the selected settlement device. When receiving the registration data transmitted from the registration device, the settlement device comprises: control means for putting the settlement processing to be carried out based on the received registration data into a standby state; and holding means for putting the settlement processing to be carried out based on the registration data, which is in the standby state, into a holding state. |
