PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a map matching method for matching on a map the position of a user terminal measured by positioning means. ! SOLUTION: A map matching method comprises: a step of determining by a user terminal, using positioning data measured at set intervals of time, the space in which it is positioned; a step of selecting links positioned within a set distance from the space as candidate links; a step of selecting, out of the selected candidate links, one candidate link best matching at least one out of at least two conformance references including distance conformance or spatial conformance; and a step of map-matching the user terminal with the selected candidate link. !
