PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information display apparatus that allows an input by an input body such as a common writing instrument, and that allows an identification and detection of a tip input part of the input body even if the tip input part and a little finger or its root part of a hand holding the input body are simultaneously touching the display at the inputting.SOLUTION: An information display apparatus includes: an information display body P having a display D; and a sheet-like optical waveguide W composing a position sensor A, which is adhered on a surface of the display D. In the optical waveguide W, a grid-like core 2 is held between a sheet-like underclad layer and an overclad layer 3. An elastic modulus of the core 2 is set to be larger than the elastic modulus of the underclad layer or the elastic modulus of the overclad layer 3. Thus, when a surface of the optical waveguide W is pressed by an input body 10 such as a writing instrument, a deformation ratio of a cross section in a pressure direction of the core 2 is smaller than a deformation ratio of a cross section of the overclad layer 3 or the underclad layer. |
