Mackerel is a species belonging to perciformes scombridae and widely distributed in the temperate and subtropical waters of the Korean, Pacific, Atlantic, and Indian oceans. However, the amount of migratory fishing species introduced to costal sea fish farms have decreased, and the amount of catch have shown a decline due to bad weather. In addition, the national aquaculture industry implemented due to the full liberalization focuses on only a few species, so the development and distribution for varying aquaculture species are essential, and the need for developing a technique for inducing a maturation and seed production method of mackerel is greatly highlighted, because the mackerel is a fish species that is very famous as an iconic fish with various uses in Korea. Thus, the present invention is a method for producing embryos of mackerel, in which luteinizing hormone releasing hormone agonist (LHRHa) in a pellet form is injected into the back muscle of mackerel, when the gonad of mackerel is fully developed, to effectively induce gonad maturity, and spawning and spermatic discharging in a natural way, thereby producing embryos of mackerel in a large quantity in a natural fashion, and being capable of producing artificial seeds in a large quantity through a stable and planned production of embryos of mackerel with enhanced survival and hatching rate. |
