<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multifunctional film having sufficient fire retardance, high gas barrier properties, UV cutting properties and also having excellent water resistance and light taking-out/taking-in properties as a film for a device element, and an organic element device using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The gas barrier film is constituted by providing one side of a fire retardant base material with a gas barrier layer and has a layer having UV cutting properties on the surface opposite to the gas barrier layer thereof.
