A communication method between a server device and a client device comprises receiving a request for first data, at the server from the client device, and transmitting a first response containing said first data. Transmission of second data is started and comprises a plurality of versions of at least one resource available at said server device, said resource being associated with said first data. Said second data further comprises descriptive data relating to usage configuration of at least one version of the plurality of versions. The server receives an adaptation message for adapting the transmission, and adapts said transmission, for example by cancelling transmission. Embodiments provide optimizations in the implementation of responsive design, in particular responsive web design. |
