The method further comprising determining (54) the ambient temperature ( T amb ), calculating (55) an estimated maximum power point voltage ( U est ) by using maximum power point current ( I MPP ) and the determined ambient temperature ( T amb ), comparing (56) the estimated maximum power point voltage with the determined maximum power point ( U MPP ), and determining on the basis of the comparison whether the generator is operating under uniform conditions or in conditions with two maximum power points. |
