The method involves displacing counter guide (32) with respect to an envelope (2) in the same direction as the envelope channel (81), through a presser (31). The envelope is then over-pressed against the holding down force applied on envelope transportation path (6) by presser. The back pressure of upper envelope portion (21) is then released to open the envelope aperture along envelope channel. An independent claim is included for inserter for inserting one or more goods in one envelope along envelope channel.
