1. A device for testing weld strength of a joint of a test coupon having a lower part and an upright part welded to the lower part, the device comprising:
a base defining a receiving region to receive and support the lower part of the test coupon; a clamp for positionally fixing the lower part of the test coupon to the base; and a punch assembly having a head portion to exert an axial force against the upright part of the test coupon to thereby determine weld strength between the lower and upright parts of the test coupon.
