PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data alteration detection technology capable of specifying the alteration place of data.SOLUTION: A data alternation detection system comprises: a first storage part for storing data; a first verification information generation part for generating row direction first verification information y[n] by using m pieces of unit data in the n-th row of data, and for generating column direction first verification information x[m] by using n pieces of unit data in the m-th column of data; a second storage part for storing the row direction first verification information y[n] and the column direction first verification information x[m]; a second verification information generation part for generating row direction second verification information y'[n] by using the m pieces of unit data in the n-th row of the data read from the first storage part, and for generating column direction second verification information x'[m] by using the n pieces of unit data in the m-th column of the data read from the first storage part; and a verification part for verifying whether or not the row direction verification information y[n] and the column direction first verification information x[m] read from the second storage part are respectively coincident with the row direction second verification information y'[n] and the column direction second verification information x'[m].
