Described is an additive composition comprising at least one dibasic ester, at least one non-ionic surfactant, at least one terpene or terpene derivative and optionally, at least one polyalkylene glycol and/or water. The composition is useful as an additive for well treatment fluids used for cleaning or stimulation of oil or gas wells.
