摘要 Disclosed is an apparatus of waking up multiple battery management systems (BMS) of a battery pack. The apparatus of waking up multiple battery management systems of a battery pack delivers a wake up signal outputted from a master BMS to N slave BMS′s, such that the N slave BMS′s for managing respective battery modules in a battery pack are started up, wherein N is an integer greater than or equal to 2. The apparatus comprises: a series line which is connected between high voltage and low voltage terminals of the battery pack and delivers the wake up signal; an insulation element which is connected on the series line and turned on by the wake up signal outputted from the master BMS; N-1 transistors, which are connected to a voltage higher than that for the insulation element on the series line and whose base terminals are connected to respective low voltage terminals of N-1 battery modules among the N battery modules and whose the rest two terminals except for the base terminal are connected on the series line; and a switching part, which is connected between the insulation element and the high voltage terminal of the battery module or between the respective transistors and the high voltage terminal of the respective battery modules, and delivers the wake up signal for waking up the N slave BMS′s by a turn-on operation of the respective transistors or the insulation elements. According to the invention, a signal to wake up a large number of slave BMS′s by using a small number of insulation elements (optocoupler) is delivered. Therefore, the price of the BMS or the battery pack is lowered.
