Provided is a multi-phase non-antiphase voltage reduction and boost changer having a plurality of voltage reduction and boost adjusters, with each adjuster being associated with an independent phase for responding to the input voltage to generate adjusted output voltage. A plurality of current sensors are individually associated to one of the voltage reduction and boost adjusters for monitoring the input current of the associated voltage reduction and boost adjusters and producing current-sensing signals for associated phases. The voltage reduction and boost mode control circuits are each associated with one voltage reduction and boost adjuster, thereby utilizing the wave crest current mode to control in the voltage reduction operating mode and utilizing the wave trough current mode to control in the voltage boost operating mode, responded to identical error voltage and associated current-sensing signals to control the associated voltage reduction and boost adjusters. A plurality of voltage reduction and boost mode control circuits provide current balance between the phases. The voltage error circuit is responded to the adjusted output voltage to generate error voltage. |
