PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a log data analyzer or a log data analysis program, used for acquiring a determination element, when selecting a proper storage apparatus in relation to a host apparatus from the analysis result of the characteristics of log data, by analyzing the characteristics of the log data transferred from a specific host apparatus for selecting the most proper storage apparatus. SOLUTION: This analyzer is equipped with a computer 4 and an analysis program stored in a storage means 9. The storage means 9 stores many pieces of log data, collected between the storage apparatus 2 and the specific host apparatus 1; by using analysis operation by an input means 11 as the starting conditions, a control means 8 counts respectively each number of generation times of a reading command and a writing command from many pieces of the log data by the analysis program, and displays the counting result of the reading command and the writing command on a display means 12, as comparable to first analysis result information.
