PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and system for authenticating a transaction request from a device.SOLUTION: A method for a device to request a transaction from a POS terminal, includes steps of: storing authentication information that is generated based on a user input to the device; and when the device approaches into a predetermined range from the POS terminal, providing the stored authentication information to the POS terminal. The authentication information that is provided to the POS terminal is compared with authentication information that is generated by the POS terminal based on a user input, and then is used to authenticate a transaction request from the device. |
