The present invention addresses the problem of providing a method whereby a glass thin film having transparency and light emitting characteristics can be conveniently manufactured. The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a light-emitting glass thin film, comprising melting a phosphoric acid species, a zinc compound, and a tin compound to create a melt, applying the resultant melt to a substrate, and performing heat treatment at a temperature at which an amorphous product is obtained, wherein the phosphoric acid species is one or more species selected from the group consisting of orthophosphoric acid and phosphorous acid, the zinc compound is ZnX2 (where X is a halide, a C1-C4 alkyl oxide, or a C1-C4 alkyl carbonyl oxide), and the tin compound is SnX2 (where X is a halide, a C1-C4 alkyl oxide, or a C1-C4 alkyl carbonyl oxide).
|
