PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve vertical resolution of a pixel which has been judged to be "still" by still judgment L, by using a previous field image, while avoiding excessive crash by performing clip using a pixel surrounding a present field image, when having been judged to be "still" by still judgment S.SOLUTION: On the basis of an output signal from a still judgment circuit for outputting a still judgment signal L judged using a comparatively long time constant and a still judgment signal S judged using a comparatively short time constant, a video processing method for IP conversion using clip processing uses a pixel value obtained by performing clip processing using the maximum and minimum values of pixels in the vicinity of a present field image on a target pixel in an image in the previous field when the still judgment signal S shows a still state, and uses the image in the previous field as the target image without change when the still judgment signal L shows a still state. |
