PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method for transmitting energy and data between a control unit (100) and a position-measuring device (10) via a line pair (110).SOLUTION: Energy is transmitted in a charge mode, and data is transmitted in a communication mode. In the position-measuring device (10), an energy storage device (15) is arranged which is chargeable via the line pair (110) in the charge mode. The energy storage device can be used to supply energy to the position-measuring device (10) in the communication mode. In the control unit (100), a charge unit (130) and switching means (120.1, 120.2; 200.1, 200.2, 200.3, 200.4) are arranged. The switching means makes it possible to connect the charge unit (130) to the line pair (110) in a two-pole manner in the charge mode. |
