PURPOSE: A substrate for manufacturing a liquid crystal display device is provided to arrange a test pad to a progress direction of a rubbing roll in order not to be overlapped, thereby extending a usage cycle of the rubbing roll. CONSTITUTION: An alignment film (41) is formed on a display area. A test pad (42) is formed on one area of a non-display area. A plurality of unit panels (40) is arranged to a first direction and a second direction. The first direction is perpendicular to the second direction on the substrate.
