The device (105) has safety facilities (110, 111) comprising actuation units (135), under the control of risk detection units (115, 116, 117) such as fire, gas, smoke, flame or heat detectors, to start the emission of gas from gas tanks (120, 121) after a predetermined duration following the detection of a risk. Display units (125, 126, 127), under the control of the detection units, display a luminous message i.e. immediate evacuation, and duration remaining to run before the start of the gas emission in complement to the message. The display units have three display surfaces mounted to form a block of trihedron or triangular based prism. An independent claim is also included for a signaling method.
