<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IC card reader for controlling the conveyance of an IC card in accordance with the installation position of an IC card I/F. <P>SOLUTION: A first connector 91, a second connector 92 and a third connector 93 are configured to electrically connect an IC card I/F whose contact is brought into contact with an IC chip installed in an IC card for transferring a signal, therein the respective connectors are respectively associated with a plurality of installation positions determined as positions where the IC card I/F is installed. A conveyance mechanism 25 conveys the IC card along a conveyance path. Specification means 101 specifies the connector to which the IC card I/F is connected among the plurality of connectors.
