<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To assist resumption of disconnected communication not relying on operation of a user. <P>SOLUTION: A mobile communication system comprises base stations 2, 3 and a maintenance control station 4. The base stations are connected to a communication network 1. The maintenance control station controls communication of the base stations. A mobile communication terminal communicates with an opposite communication terminal via a base station. The base station determines a disconnection reason of communication between the mobile communication terminal and the base station when the communication between the mobile communication terminal and the base station has been disconnected. The maintenance control station determines a disconnection cause of the communication between the mobile communication terminal and the opposite communication terminal at least on the basis of the disconnection reason. The maintenance control station determines a resumption originating source, a resumption receiving source, and a communication resumption method on the basis of the determined disconnection cause. A communication resumption method determination unit transmits at least one of an automatic call originating request and an automatic response request to the base station on the basis of the disconnection cause.
