<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a beam dump which can terminate a laser beam more effectively to greatly reduce stray light due to return light. <P>SOLUTION: A beam dump 1 of the present invention, which is designed to terminate a used laser beam, includes a plurality of laser absorbing members 4, each consisting of a pre-stage laser absorbing sheet 5a on a laser beam incident side which is provided at a certain titled angle relative to the incident direction of the laser beam to be terminated and a post-stage laser absorbing plate 5b which is provided at a certain titled angle relative to the pre-stage laser absorbing sheet 5a in a direction opposite to the pre-stage laser absorbing sheet 5a. The laser absorbing members 4 are disposed on a heat sink 3 separately at certain intervals in a direction perpendicular to the laser beam incident direction, so that the terminating part of a laser beam will be hidden as seen from the laser beam incident direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
