<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new vibration power generator which can efficiently transform vibration energy generated on a structure, such as a bridge, to electric energy. <P>SOLUTION: The vibration power generator dose not turn a generator by transforming movement in the vertical direction of the structure itself, such as the bridge, to rotary movement, but transforms kinetic energy of a weight which resonates with vibration of the structure, such as the bridge, to move widely to the electric energy. Only a movement component in the vertical direction, of the kinetic energy of the weight, is transmitted to a driven body to vertically move the driven body, so that no horizontal movement component acts on a mechanism supporting the vertical movement of the driven body, and thus, kinetic energy in the vertical direction of the driven body is not lost by friction, deformation, or the like. After the kinetic energy in the vertical direction of the driven body is transformed to rotary movement to be magnified, the generator of a stepping motor is rotated and driven to generate electricity. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
