Control and data transmission installation

Installation includes a serial field bus (10) to which a master control device (20) and a number of bus subscribers (30,40,50) are connected. Safety-related devices which carry out safety functions such as e.g. a stop function or emergency off function are placed in the master control device and in the bus subscribers. The safety- related devices (80) can communicate with each other by way of the field bus. Each bus subscriber is connected to the field bus by a bus connecting device. Each bus subscriber and master control device has at least one input connected to a monitoring device, e.g. sensor. Each bus subscriber and master control device has at least one output connected to a device to be safeguarded. An independent claim is included for a process for the transmission of safety-related data in a control and data installation.
