METHOD FOR FILE SYNCHRONIZATION IN SERVER BASED PEER-TO-PEER SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A file synchronizing method in a server based P2P system is provided to rapidly search a chunk of a file between peers within a peer pool and to receive a file from each peer. CONSTITUTION: A peer receives chunk information which neighbor peers maintain(S220). The peer generates a chunk list(S230). The peer recognizes the number of neighbor peers which request the chunk. The peer sets up each chunk priority(S240). The peer receives the chunk from the neighbor peer or the server according to a chunk priority list(S250).
