<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation angle detector capable of specifying a magnetic pole sensed by a magnetic sensor. <P>SOLUTION: A rotation angle calculating unit 20 conducts: a step for calculating zero-cross timing when zero cross is detected to either one of sensor values V1 and V2; a step for calculating a time interval (zero-cross interval) between the zero-cross timing calculated this time and the zero-cross timing calculated previously to a corresponding output signal; and a step for specifying a magnetic pole sensed by a magnetic sensor based on the calculated zero-cross interval, a total of zero-cross intervals for one rotation of a rotor 1 that are calculated recently based on an output signal of the magnetic sensor, a rotating direction of the rotor 1 and contents of an amplitude correcting table (first or second table) corresponding to the magnetic sensor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
