<p>A reverse input blocking clutch for transmitting only input torque in one direction prevents the co-rotation of an input rotation member when reverse input torque is applied after the transmission of the input torque. A spring clutch is used as a locking means for engaging (locking) an input gear (1) and an output rotation member (4) with each other so that torque can be transmitted in a specific direction. A one-way clutch (8) is installed between a flywheel (6) and a stationary ring (7) which are elastically connected to the input gear (1) by the coiled spring (5) of the spring clutch. The one-way clutch (8) allows the flywheel (6) to run idle in a specific direction and stops the rotation of the flywheel (6) in the reverse direction by causing the flywheel (6) to engage with the stationary ring (7). Due to the configuration, when the supply of input torque in the specific direction is stopped, the flywheel (6) rotates by inertia to unlock the lock between the input gear (1) and the output rotation member (4), the lock being effected by the spring clutch, and then stops after slightly rotating in the reverse direction by the elastic restoration of the coiled spring (5). As a result, the unlocked state is maintained.</p> |
