<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of removing the instability of the running state of a belt member by suppressing the disturbance of belt meandering control when a contact member is switched, without adding special control to the belt meandering control. <P>SOLUTION: In an image formation state where an upper belt 205 is in contact with a lower belt 209, a lower steering roller 208 is tilted to perform the belt meandering control of the lower belt 209. However, in a standby state where a heating roller 215 is in contact with the lower belt 209, a shaft core holding member 216 is operated to rotatably fix both ends of the lower steering roller 208, so that a pressure roller 206 is tilted integrally with a lower unit 201, to perform the belt meandering control. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
