The brake assembly (1) has a brake pedal (2) for generating a brake command, wheel brake devices (3) for each vehicle wheel and one master brake cylinder (8). The master brake cylinder is driven by an electric motor and hydraulically coupled with the wheel brake devices. The braking command is transmitted through an electronic coupling (15) from the brake pedal to a control device (13) for driving an electric motor (10) for driving a master brake cylinder as a function of the brake command.
