<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent variation in light emission output by bringing a sneak current flowing between the gates of a plurality of light-emitting thyristors which are lighted simultaneously to substantially zero. <P>SOLUTION: In a print head where many light-emitting thyristors are arranged and divided into a plurality of sets (e.g. even number of sets and odd number of sets) and the array of light-emitting thyristors of each set is subjected to time-divided driving by a plurality of drivers 181, the gates of respective light-emitting thyristors in the array belonging to the same set are connected, respectively, to common wiring GL through individual buffers (e.g. 163) as separation circuits for separating the gates of a plurality of light-emitting thyristors electrically and driven commonly. Consequently, a sneak current flowing between the gates of a plurality of light-emitting thyristors which are lighted simultaneously can be brought to substantially zero, and variation in light emission output caused by the sneak current can be prevented. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
