<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antitheft device capable of preventing a vehicle on which the device is mounted from being moved to a distance by traveling the vehicle itself. <P>SOLUTION: In a range setting process, when the user is approved to be a pre-registered one, a movable range is set based on the information input in an information acquiring device through the switch group. In an in-range determination process, before one's own vehicle is present out of the movable range continuously for a time corresponding to a determination reference number (S350: NO, S360: NO), that state is notified to the user of the own vehicle (S370).
