The wheel suspension (1) has an axle carrier (4) at which a wheel carrier (5) is rotatably supported for fastening a wheel and which has a drive gear (7). The drive gear is drive-connected at the output side with the wheel carrier. An electric motor (10) is provided for driving the wheels (2), whose drive shaft (11) is drive-connected with the drive gear at input side over a connecting shaft (12). A transverse link (16) is provided for pivoting connection of the axle carrier with a vehicle body (3). The vehicle body is movably connected at one side with the axle carrier over a hinge.
