PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weft insertion device which does not cause the excessive deflection and breakage of a pressure conduit for supplying pressurized air to a main nozzle. SOLUTION: In the weft insertion device of air jet type loom including a main nozzle 11 for weft insertion disposed at an attaching position in a state capable of being moved in the weaving width direction, and a pressurized air-supplying device 14 supported on the frame of the loom to support the pressurized air to the main nozzle 11, the supply device 14 includes a shut-off valve 15 for controlling the passage of the pressurized air to the main nozzle 11, a pipe joint exhaust port 35 attached to the exhaust port 17 of the shut-off valve 15, and a flexible pressure conduit 36 for communicating the exhaust port 35 of the pipe joint with the main nozzle 11.
